Step 2👉: Use an electric drill with a hole saw to drill the lock core according to the specified size. Be very careful when drilling holes, taking care not to damage the finish on the other side of the door. Also pay attention to the size of the hole to be drilled to be appropriate, not too large or too small. When you see that the drill tip is about to penetrate, you should stop drilling, and then complete the drilling from the other side of the door.

Step 3👉: Drill a hole of appropriate size for the bolt on the side of the door until it touches the hole of the lock cylinder. Lean the edge of the door and the drill point with a combination square, keeping the drill point at a right angle to the door. Use sandpaper to smooth the edges of the holes. Insert the bolt into the hole and fix the bolt plate to the hole. Use a pencil to trace the outline of the bolt plate on the edge of the door. According to the door lock manufacturer's instructions, remove the bolt and mortise trim on the bolt plate so that it is flush with the door.

Step 4👉: Use a chisel to cut out the mortise. The size of the mortise must be appropriate, insert the bolt and bolt plate into the mortise, and drill assembly holes for the mounting screws. Install the screws to hold the bolt in place. After the lock house is fixed, insert the outer lock core so that the lock core shaft or connecting rod fits the bolt assembly. Insert the inner lock core and fasten it with screws. Insert the bolt assembly and draw its outline on the edge of the door with a pencil. Remove excess wood to install components.

Step 5👉: Use an electric drill with a hole saw to drill a suitable size hole on the door frame. Use the lock tongue piece as the fixed moment template, mark the position of the mortise on the door frame, and make the mortise. Use screws to install the bolt so that it is level with the door frame. At this point, the aluminum alloy door and window handle lock is completely installed.
